Located to enjoy both farm and native forest

Journeys End Station is located 110km's from both Gisborne and Opotiki and half an hours drive from the small settlement of Matawai, which is on SH2 inland from the East Coast of the North Island of New Zealand. This working sheep and beef station backs onto the Urewera National Park, its steep to rolling farm land is bordered by native forest which is abundant in wildlife.

Sunny Face lodge itself is located near the back of the farm, overlooking native bush. This private settling allows you to make the most of the astounding scenery from the many windows and walks. Access to the lodge is provided by your hosts by 4wd vehicle.
